Gentle, yin yoga based on the healing properties and traits of medicinal herbs. Yin yoga is a slow practice aimed at contemplation and relaxation; gentle poses are held for longer durations. January focus is on teaberry (American wintergreen; Gaultheria procumbens). Brandy is especially knowledgeable about Appalachian medicinals and she incorporates this knowledge into her movement practice. This class is most suitable for beginners, for those wanting a restorative practice, and for nature lovers.
